Fertilizing your lawn is much easier than you might think. All you need is the right product, in the right amount, applied before it rains or before watering your lawn.

Here are the easy-to-follow fertilizer application guidelines for the best results:

  • Fertilizer should be applied every 6 – 8 weeks, throughout Spring, Summer, and Fall.
  • Regular use will help thicken your lawn, which will choke out the weeds.
  • Use appropriate fertilizer for each season (see chart below).
  • Apply fertilizer with either a handheld or push spreader, ensuring you follow the application rates (see chart below).
  • Fertilizer dissolves with water, so it’s best applied before rain or before watering your lawn.

How to Apply

  1. Measure lawn to determine square footage.
  2. Weigh out fertilizer based on the guideline below.
  3. Start spreading on a low – medium setting, apply half the amount over lawn.
  4. Apply remaining half on second pass.

Multiple passes help reduce over fertilizing in the same areas.
